Murphy

Murphy is our medium sire, 42 pounds of cream-colored calm with apricot ears. We keep him in a short clip from May to October, which is why he looks so tidy in his photos. He is named for the speed at which he does everything. He lives in Wake Forest with a retired couple who walk him four miles a day, and he spends two mornings a month as a reading buddy at their branch library. We use Murphy when a pairing needs steadiness. He has an off switch that most doodles don't find until they are three, and he is gentle with puppies, his own included. He carries one copy of DM, so he is only bred to dams who test clear. His PennHIP scores are tighter than the breed average on both sides.
